Summary Job Description:
Responsible for managing accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, monthly close calendar/process, audit preparation, registrations, surveys, and documentation of policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise Accounts Payable and Payroll functions including fixed assets, depreciation and amortization
· Establish and manage the monthly close calendar/process
· Ensure that monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and yearend payroll tax filings are prepared in a timely manner
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
· Manage credit card process
· Manage the design, setup and use of the Deltek expense reimbursement product
· Assist the Controller with audits, registrations, and surveys and prepare and review supporting documentation and analyses
· Maximize the use of Deltek Costpoint AMIDEAST-wide and utilizing maximum functionality
· Automate and streamline Accounts Payable & Payroll processes
· Oversee training and development of Accounts Payable and Payroll staff
· Develop process documentation for all processes
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA required
· 7-10 years professional finance/accounting experience preferred (Nonprofit and Government contractor experience a plus)
· Minimum 3 years Supervisory experience
· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (and associated Accounting Standards and requirements for non-profit organizations, government contracts and indirect rates)
· Process-oriented, with experience in documenting processes and procedures
· Excellent Computer skills, proficiency in MS Excel applications, and experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos Impromptu report writer system tools preferred
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Excellent analytical skills
· Demonstrates world class cultural attributes and behaviors in all interactions with country directors, project managers, department heads, and senior staff
